Groundhog Day

Last year, the term "Groundhog Day" was our attempt at humor during our long power outage. We watched the movie, starring Bill Murray, in which the main character wakes up on Groundhog Day over and over again. Just 3 days later, the big snow storm hit, and for days and days afterwards, each day was Groundhog Day: gray skies, snowing, and no power.

This year, Groundhog Day seems much more kind and gentle. I woke up to this:

Best of all, Punxatawney Phil, our resident groundhog, did NOT see his shadow, forecasting an early Spring! (See the live coverage by clicking on "Punxatawney".)

Yippee! Hooray for Groundhog day! Though it seems to be growing a bit colder by the minute. :)

It was an amazing, unusual mornning. I felt like stripping off my coat until about 11:00, when I was about to freeze again. . .I saw ya'all bustling into the van way too fast to say hello. . .crazy weather. I love the pictures you captured. So glad it's not a repeat of last year!
