I should have titled yesterday's post: "Pity Party". I was wallowing in self pity for sure.
The wind has picked up today. One of L's friends described it as "blowing as strong as a twister out there!" I don't feel like I'm about to be blown to Oz, but it seems to be blowing away the February Funk I've been in.
The laundry is on the line, whipping around. The girls had their kites flying high earlier, and are presently muddying their second set of clothes for the day. I grilled Nathan's hot dogs on the grill for lunch. We ate at the picnic table, situated in a shaft of sunshine, and tried to keep our Cheetos from blowing away!
School is already done for the day, so I'm getting ready to open up some windows and settle down in that recliner with my book.
And by the way, our old friend the Kubota backhoe drove up the lane not long ago. Hopefully that means that our water worries will soon be a thing of the past!
